Director AI:Welcome to Image-to-Video (Img2Vid). Unlike Text-to-Video, here we start with a strong visual foundation—a Midjourney upscale—and use AI to add temporal coherence (time & motion).

AI Video Mastery

Unlock nodes by learning to control the generative flow.

Step 1: The Init Image

Video generation starts with a strong static foundation. We use Midjourney v6 images as the "Init Image" to ensure style consistency.

From Stillness to Motion: The AI Director's Guide

AI Art Director

Video Generativo & Motion Expert.

Image-to-Video technology (Img2Vid) represents a paradigm shift in creative workflows. Unlike traditional animation which requires keyframing, or pure Text-to-Video which struggles with specific composition, Img2Vid allows us to be Art Directors first.

1. The Anchor: The Init Image

The quality of your output is mathematically capped by the quality of your input. We use high-resolution Midjourney v6 images as our "Anchor". This ensures lighting, composition, and style are perfect before we even think about motion.

❌ Bad Practice

Using low-res inputs or images with complex, impossible geometry (like 6 fingers). The video model will warp these errors into nightmares.

✔️ Good Practice

Upscaling the image first (Magnific AI) and fixing details (Inpainting) before generating video.

2. Controlling Chaos: The Motion Score

In Stable Video Diffusion (SVD) and Runway, the "Motion Bucket ID" (1-255) tells the model how much pixels should shift.

  • Low (1-30): Subtle movements. Breathing, slow clouds, candle flicker.
  • High (100+): Action scenes, running, flying. High risk of morphing.
Key Takeaway: Motion is not just about moving things; it's about the *consistency* of the movement over time.

Video Generativo Dictionary

Init Image (Image Prompt)
The starting static image frame that serves as the visual reference for the video generation model.

Motion Score (Bucket ID)
A parameter determining the amount of motion/change between frames. Higher values increase dynamism but reduce consistency.

Interpolation
The process of generating intermediate frames between two existing frames to create smoother motion or increase FPS.

Motion Brush
A tool that allows users to paint specific areas of an image (masks) to apply motion only to those regions.

Generative Expand (Outpainting)
Extending the video duration by using the last frame of a clip as the Init Image for the next clip.
