No, FastAPI is unopinionated. It does not force you into a specific layout like Django does. However, the `routers`, `models`, `core` pattern is the generally accepted community standard for scalable applications.

Why use BaseSettings instead of os.environ?

If you use `os.environ.get('PORT')`, it returns a string. If the port is missing, it returns None. This causes runtime crashes. `BaseSettings` validates that the variable exists and automatically coerces it into an integer, failing loudly on boot if it's incorrect.
