A 40-page business plan is obsolete the day it's printed. A Lean Canvas is alive.
1Speed of Thought
The goal of a Lean Canvas isn't to be perfect; it's to be fast. It allows you to externalize your assumptions so you can start testing them immediately with real users.
2Risk Identification
Each block in the canvas represents a risk. Problem risk (does the pain exist?), Product risk (is the solution right?), and Market risk (will they pay?). Use the canvas to find the biggest risk and test it first.
3Alignment Tool
The Lean Canvas is the best tool for onboarding new team members or explaining the business to stakeholders. It provides the full context of 'Why we are here' in 5 minutes.
